General questions about Cape Mitikas How far is Cape Mitikas from the Airport/Harbour? The "Cape Mitikas Villas & Apartments” are situated about 8 km from the airport and just 5 km from the harbour. Is there a transfer from the airport to Cape Mitikas? Yes, we can arrange a transfer for you. If you stay a minimum of 7 nights with us we will be very happy to collect you from the airport free of charge. Please provide us with your arrival details two weeks before your arrival. How far away is the beach from the apartments? The apartments are situated on a cape. So you just need to take the few steps down to the beach of Achladies, which is one of the most beautiful beaches of the island. Depending on your apartment the distance is about 70 to 100 meters. Like all other beaches in Greece Achladies is a public beach and you can rent sun beds and sun shades for a fee. Is the beach suitable for small children? Yes, definitely. The bay of Achladies is a fine, flat sandy beach and therefore perfectly suitable for our small guests. Can I do some water sports nearby? Yes! There is a water sport base on the beach where you can do water-skiing, wakeboarding and banana as well as renting a paddleboat or a motorboat. Are there restaurants and bars nearby? In the bay of Achladies you can choose between several Greek restaurants and bars. Enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner directly on the beach. In Skiathos town you will find more restaurants, cafes, bars and also discos. How do I get from Cape Mitikas to Skiathos Town? Cape Mitikas is about 5 km from Skiathos town. Directly from the Achladies bay you can go by a scheduled boat to the town of Skiathos in just 15 minutes. You can also take the bus (station within 200 m) or a taxi. Furthermore you can rent a car and discover the whole island. Is there a supermarket nearby? Within 300 m of the apartment you will find several small supermarkets and a bakery. In Skiathos town you will find more and larger supermarkets. Do I have the possibility to do some trips? Beside enjoying the lovely beaches of the island you can make a lot of trips from Skiathos to the neighbour islands (The Sporades), to the mainland and also to the capital of Greece Athens. Our reception will inform you about the various trips. There is a lot to explore and to experience. Where can I rent a car? Several agencies are situated in Skiathos town, where you can rent cars of all categories. Our reception can advise you to find a proper car for you. 2. Questions about the apartments How are the apartments equipped? Our apartments offer a lot of comfort for you to enjoy your holiday. A detailed description of each apartment including photos and layout can be found here. Do all apartments have sea view? All apartments on the first and second floor have unlimited sea view. On the ground floor the sea view can be limited by trees and bushes. Are there sun beds on the terrace or the balcony? Some apartments are equipped with sun beds and sun shades. Detailed information is provided with the apartment description. Do you have a baby cot and a high chair for my baby? Yes. We are grateful to provide a baby cot including regular change of linen and a high chair for our small guests. In addition, you can rent a baby tube if needed. All our baby equipment is free of charge. Please, let us know what kind of equipment you need. How often are the apartments cleaned? All apartments are cleaned every day. Linen and towels are changed a least 2 times a week. Do I have the possibility to wash my clothes during my holiday? Yes. We have a washing machine for our guests as well as an iron and an iron board. The usage and the washing powder is provided free of charge. What can you tell me about “Cape Mitikas” itself? The “Cape Mitikas Villas & Apartments” consist of overall 14 apartments which are situated in 2 different Villas on an area of 11.000 m². Our Villas “Akrotiri” and “Pelagos” were built a few years ago. In 2005 they were completely renovated and modernized offering a modern spirit combined with tradition. 3. Questions about reservations Right after you got in contact with us we will offer you several apartments which you requested or will meet your needs. After receiving the reservation confirmation the deposit has to be made within 7 days on our account. The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. If you make a reservation within 30 days prior to arrival the whole amount will be due. Where do I find the rules & conditions? Our rules and conditions are posted here. Please read them carefully. How can I make the payment? You can pay via bank transfer, cash and with Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Credit Card Payments are only possible at Cape Mitikas itself. Deposits must be made via bank transfer. Bank cheques are not accepted.
